Mrs. Amble Lee Williams Hubbard of Halifax, VA died Tuesday, December 20th at the age of 80.

Mrs. Hubbard was born in Halifax County, VA on April 24, 1942 to the late Joseph Williams and Ida Mae Williams and was married to the late Lawrence Albert “Joe” Hubbard. She was a member of New Vernon Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hubbard is survived by (1) son: Albert “Teddy” Hubbard; (5) daughters: Martha Woodall, Zader Hubbard, Shonna Hubbard, Helen Smith (Tony) and Mary Hubbard; (15) grandchildren; (20) great grandchildren; (2) sisters: Virginia Mae Jones and Ida “Coneal” Williams; (2) sisters-in-law; (3) brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends, including Clarice Buster. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by (1) daughter: Brenda Hubbard; (1) son: Gary Hubbard; (3) sisters: Mary Alice Williams, Doris Williams and Marie Williams; (1) brother: Lawrence Williams; (1) son-in-law: William Woodall and (1) brother-in-law: Matthew Hubbard.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mrs. Amble Lee Williams Hubbard will be Friday, December 30th at 11:00 a.m. at New Vernon Baptist Church with Rev. John Elliott, eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Thursday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
