Obituary
Ms. Ann Elizabeth Wyatt of South Boston, VA died on Monday, June 27th at the age of 73.
Ms. Wyatt was born in Halifax County, VA on January 7, 1949 to the late. Fleming Wyatt and Sarah Scott Wyatt and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She was previously married to Benjamin Drakeford and William “Chunk” Faulkner.
Ms. Wyatt is survived by (1) son: Bruce Wyatt of Brooklyn, NY; (2) granddaughters: Melvina Hines and Bianca Hines; (1) great grandson: Christian Hines; (2) sisters: Alice Wyatt of Queens, NY and Cathy Wright of Atlanta, GA; (2) brothers: Charles Wyatt of South Boston, VA and Cornelius Wyatt, Sr. of Largo, MD; (1) sister-in-law: Yobsean Wyatt; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including Rosa Wyatt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by (1) brother: Jerome Wyatt.
Funeral services for Ms. Ann Elizabeth Wyatt will be held Sunday, July 3rd at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Bishop Michael Byrd, eulogist. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Public viewing for family and friends will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the home of Tina Wyatt Younger, 1406 Irish Street, South Boston, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. daily. A face mask and social distancing is required.
