Ms. Arthur Phinester Bailey died Saturday, August 14th at the age of 78.

Ms. Bailey was born in Halifax County, VA on May 12, 1943 to the late Arthur Chandler and Nina Chrisp Chandler.

Ms. Bailey is survived by (4) daughters: Lisa Diaz (Manuel) of Richmond, VA, Christina Aghonghale (Osagie) of South Boston, VA, Bernice Majors (Leon) of Roxboro, NC and Shirley Brandon (James) of Alton, VA; (2) sons: Alexander Bailey of Washington, DC and Frankie Bailey of Atlanta, GA; (3) sisters: Edith Hubbard, Dorothy Watkins and Bernice Hayes (Ronald); (1) brother: Alfred Chandler (Lottie); and a host of grandchildren, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by (1) daughter: Minister Belinda Coleman and (1) sister: Edna Chandler.

Funeral services for Ms. Arthur Phinester Bailey will be Friday, August 20th at 11 a.m. at Denniston Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Clarence Dale eulogist.

Burial will follow at White Oak Fork Baptist Church Cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Thursday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
