Mr. Atkerson Obadiah Hart of South Boston, VA died on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at the age of 95.

Mr. Hart was born July 17, 1926 in Halifax, VA to the late Florence Hart and was a member of New Vernon Baptist Church. He was an auto mechanic for many years and a United States Army Veteran.

Mr. Hart is survived by his children: Atkerson Hart, Jr., Rosalyn Crawford (Avery), Roxanne Langford and Robin Hart; (5) grandchildren; (3) great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, including the devoted Leon Brown, Veria Clement and Audrey Dixon. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by (2) sisters: Gracie Hart Farmer and Natalie Hart Royal; and (1) brother: Dickie Hart.

Graveside memorial services for Mr. Atkerson Obadiah Hart will be Wednesday, June 8th at 11:00 a.m. at New Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. John Elliott, officiating.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Saturday, June 4th from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home. A face mask is required.
