Ms. Barbara Mary Grant of South Boston, VA died on Friday, June 10th at the age of 87.

Ms. Grant was born June 28, 1934 in Halifax County, VA to the late Viola Miller Williams and Willie Brooks. She retired from the New York State Department of Social Services, was a member of Memorial Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess and was also the mother of the church.

Ms. Grant is survived by (1) son: Ronald Thomas; (2) daughters: Deanna Grant and Vibernadette Grant, all of South Boston, VA; (7) grandchildren; (8) great grandchildren; (1) niece; and longtime friends: Ruth Faulkner, Dorothy Mitchell, Patricia Bailey and Maria DePriest.

Graveside services for Ms. Barbara Mary Grant will be Saturday, June 18th at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Richard Terry, eulogist.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Friday, June 17th from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
