Mr. Bennie Davis “Mane” Logan of Vernon Hill, VA died Tuesday, February 8th at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital at the age of 74.

Mr. Logan was born on July 28, 1947 in Halifax, VA to the late Harold Wilson Logan and Florine Howard Logan. He was married to the late Delores Ferrell Edmonds Logan and was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.

Mr. Logan is survived by (1) daughter: Shelly Logan Wright (Anthony) of Halifax, VA; (2) sons: Steven Deon Logan of Vernon Hill, VA and Eric Shawn Edmonds (Tosya) of Stafford, VA; (13) grandchildren; (6) great grandchildren; (1) daughter-in-law: TaWanda W. Edmonds of Greensboro, NC; (2) sisters: Linda Williams and Edna Faye Logan, both of Halifax, VA; (2) brothers: Donald Wayne Logan and Larry Logan, both of Halifax, VA; his very special aunt: Lillie Mae Howard; (3) sisters-in-law: Thelma Ferrell, Gwendolyn Jennings, and Lisa Chandler, all of Halifax, VA; (2) brothers-in-law: James Ferrell (Dorothy) of Vernon Hill, VA and Elmer Ferrell of Halifax, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.  In addition of his parents, Bennie was preceded in death by (1) son: Stacey Antonio Edmonds; (2) grandsons: Demaira Williams and Traquan Barksdale; (1) brother: Harold Logan, Jr.; (1) sister-in-Law: Laura Chandler; and (3) brothers -in-law: Samuel Ferrell, John R. Williams and Alfred Ferrell, Jr.

Funeral services for Mr. Bennie Davis “Mane” Logan will be held Tuesday, February 15th at noon with services at Jeffress Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Frederick Betts officiating. Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel C.M.E. Church Cemetery in Vernon Hill, VA.

Public viewing will be at Jeffress Funeral Home on Monday from noon until 6:00 p.m.

A face mask and social distancing is required at the services.
