Mrs. Betty Louise “Nudy” Coleman Foster of Clover, VA died on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Duke Hospice House, Durham, NC at the age of 72.

Mrs. Foster was born November 7, 1950 in Halifax County, VA to the late Betty Grinnan and Matthew “Bonk” Coleman and was married to Alvin Lee Foster, Sr. She was educated in Halifax County Public Schools and joined St. Matthew Baptist Church at an early age.

Mrs. Foster is survived by (4) children: Alvin Foster, Jr. and Daniel Foster ( Tara) of Clover, VA; Darrell Foster of Rhode Island and Janel Foster of Charlotte, NC; (16) grandchildren; (5) great-grandchildren; (4) siblings: Laverne Coleman, Gracie Grinnan and Waverly Coleman, all of Clover, VA and Barbara Barton of Tampa, FL; (1) aunt: Corrine Grinnan; sisters-in-law: Ann, Doris, Mamie, Glenda, Dean and Irene; brothers-in-law: Otis, Earvin, Jabbo, and Ira; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by (1) daughter: Barbara Jean Foster, (11) siblings: Marion, Blanche, Gracie, Dorothy, Lucille, Josephine, Katherine, Howard, Willie, Major, and Curtis.

A funeral service for Mrs. Betty Louise “Nudy” Coleman Foster will be Friday, November 18th at 1:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
