Mr. Birnie Lee Blanding, Jr. “Birdman” of Clarksville, VA died on Wednesday, August 17th at the age of 62.

Mr. Blanding was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 21, 1959 to the late Birnie Lee Blanding, Sr. and Sarah Elizabeth Cosby Blanding.

Mr. Blanding is survived by one son: Eric Blanding; (2) sisters: Kisha B. Marable (Ernest) and Arlene B. Graham, all of Petersburg, VA; (3) brothers: Bernard Blanding of South Boston, VA, Rashawn Blanding of Richmond, VA, and Lamar Blanding (Erika) of Spring Hill, FL, (2) aunts; and (5) nieces, (4) nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends, including Melissa Tucker and Evelyn Jenkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by (1) son: Khatif Salley and (1) sister: Annette Blanding.

Funeral services for Mr. Birnie Lee Blanding, Jr. will be Wednesday, August 24th at 1:00 p.m. at The Crawford House Chapel in Halifax with Pastor David Wayne Smith, officiating.
