Mrs. Brady Pearl Goode Owen of Vernon Hill, VA died Friday, January 28th at her residence at the age of 90.

Mrs. Owen was born in Halifax County, VA on January 3, 1932 to the late Robert Earnest Goode and Lottie Williams Goode. She was married to the late William Berkley Owen and was a member of New Vernon Baptist Church.

Mrs. Owen is survived by (3) daughters: Jacqueline Owen of the home, Barbara Burt (Shawn) of Vernon Hill, VA and Jana Daniel (Steve) of Brookneal, VA; (2) sons: Curtis Owen of the home and Clinton Owen (Renee) of Richmond, VA; (5) grandchildren: Danielle Womack, Shawn Burt, Jr., Tyren Burt, Jave Daniel and Evan Daniel; (4) sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and other loving and caring adopted children, grandchildren and friends of the church and community. In addition to her parents and husband, Brady was preceded in death by (5) sisters: Sudie Holt, Nannie Marshall, Carrie Delaney, Lottie Womack and Elizabeth Venable; (5) brothers: Samuel Goode, Robert Goode, William Goode, Oakley Goode and Arthur Goode.

Funeral services for Mrs. Brady Pearl Goode Owen will be held Friday, February 4th at 11:00 a.m. with services at The Crawford House Chapel in Halifax, VA with Rev. John Elliott officiating. Burial will follow in New Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery.

Public viewing will be  Thursday from noon until 6:00 p.m.at Jeffress Funeral Home.

A face mask and social distancing will be required at all services and funerals.
