Mr. Carl Edward Morton, Sr. of High Point, NC and formerly of Halifax County, VA died Wednesday, April 5th at the age of 50.

Mr. Morton was born October 17, 1971 in Halifax County, Va. to Rose Carden Morton and the late Carl Evans Morton.

Mr. Morton is survived by his mother: Rose Morton of South Boston, VA; (4) children: Da’Nesha Morton and Carl Edward Morton, Jr, both of Danville, VA, Ka’Desha Morton and Adrian Morton, both of High Point, NC, ; mother of his children: Frances Morton (Pegues) of High Point, NC; (3) grandchildren; (4) sisters: Wanda Morton, Sharon Morton, Sonya Morton and Monique Morton, all of South Boston, VA and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including Anthony Hunt, who was like a brother.

Funeral services for Mr. Carl Edward Morton, Sr. will be held Friday, April 15th at 1:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marvin Bowman as eulogist.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Thursday from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m.
