Mr. Carl Darrrell Wooden of Clover, VA. died Saturday, August 13th at the age of 48.

Mr. Wooden was born in South Hill, VA on January 25, 1974 to John E. Wooden and Evelyn B. Thorn Wooden and was married to Jer’von Holmes-Wooden.

Mr. Wooden is survived by his wife: Jer’von Holmes-Wooden of the home; (2) daughters: Shantell Wooden and Kamaurie Holmes-Wooden; (2) sons: Jhaquill Holmes-Wooden and Elijah Gaffney; (1) granddaughter: Jhene J. Walker; his mother: Evang Evelyn Thorn; father: John Wooden; stepfather: Dr. Elder Aurelius Thorn, Jr; (4) sisters: Katrina Buford (Taji), Latisha Copeland (Demetrius), Gloria Carr and Sharon Stanley; (4) brothers: Aurelius Thorn, III, Quinton Wooden, John Reid and James Reid; (1) sister-in-law; (2) brothers-in-law; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including Joseph Whittington “Joe”.

Funeral services for Mr. Carl D. Wooden will be Monday, August 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at The Crawford House Chapel in Halifax with Bishop Charles Mitchell eulogist. Burial will follow in the Bibleway Church of Christ Cemetery, 800 Skipwith Road, Boydton, VA.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Sunday, August 21st from 10 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at The Crawford House Chapel.
