Ms. Carolyn Jean Roberts formerly of Sutphin Road, South Boston, VA died August 17th at the age of 82.

Ms. Roberts was born in Halifax County on September 5, 1938 to the late Richard Herman Roberts and Hattie Sutphin Roberts.

Ms. Roberts is survived by (3) daughters: Audrey Nefkens (Reindert) of Halifax, VA, Corlis McGrady of South Boston, VA and Karen Posner (Bruce) of California; (9) grandchildren; (8) great grandchildren; (1) sister: Doris Claiborne (Jesse) of Texas; (2) brothers: Waverly Roberts (Ruby) of Georgia and George Roberts (Peggy) of South Boston, VA and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by (5) brothers: James “Jimmie” Roberts, Richard Roberts II, Harold Roberts, Allen Roberts and Raymond Roberts.

Graveside services for Ms. Carolyn Roberts will be Friday, August 20th at 11 a.m. at Oak Ridge Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Tucker as eulogist.

At the request of the family there will be no public viewing.
