Obituary

Mrs. Carrie Lee Jordan of Leigh McKay Trail, South Boston, VA died on Friday, April 16th at her residence at the age of 91.


Mrs. Jordan was born in Halifax County, VA on October 7, 1929 to the late Polk Stovall and Nannie Satterfield Stovall and was married to the late Thomas Jordan.


Mrs. Jordan is survived by (1) daughter: Linda Martin (Robert) of Cluster Springs, VA; (1) daughter-in-law: Mrs. Gloria Stovall of South Boston, VA (4) grandchildren: Gary Garrett (Loricka), Crystal Stovall of South Boston, VA, Catinia George (Boyd)) of Charlotte, NC and Tonya Stovall of Los Angeles, CA; (6) great grandchildren: Aniyah Stovall, Khali Garrett, London Stovall, Braydon George, Meleah George, and Breah George; (2) sisters-in-law: Janie Roberson and Cora Stovall; devoted niece: Tessie Rogers; devoted friend: Ada Martin; devoted god-niece: Cindy Bailey and, and a host of great and great great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by (1) son: Thomas Edward Stovall; (3) sisters: Mary Johnson, Ella Owen and Nannie Young; and (3) brothers: Elijah, William and James Stovall.


Graveside services for Mrs. Carrie Lee Jordan will be held on Wednesday, April 21st at Oak Ridge Cemetery with eulogist Pastor Robert Martin. Following COVID-19 guidelines, a face mask and social distancing will be required.


Public viewing for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service.


Funeral services are provided by Jeffress Funeral Home, 2000 North Main Street, South Boston, VA.
