Mrs. Catherine “Rene” Medley Coleman died Sunday, August 15th at the age of 91.

Mrs. Coleman was born in Halifax County, VA on April 26, 1930 to the late Willie Medley and Mattie Barksdale Medley. She was married to the late McKinley Coleman and was a member of Cross Road Baptist Church.

Mrs. Coleman is survived by (1) son: Robert Jones (Almarie); (3) daughters: Cathy Cunningham. Laurell Malone and Yvette Crawford; (7) grandchildren; (7) great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service for Mrs. Catherine Medley Coleman will be Saturday, August 21st at 11 a.m. at Cross Road Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Wilson, eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Friday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home. The family will receive guests Friday at the home house, 1050 White Lane, Alton, VA from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m..
