Obituary
Mr. Charles G. “Charlie” Boxley, of Highview Road, Halifax, VA died on March 1st at the age of 75.
Mr. Boxley was born in Covington, VA on September 10, 1945 to the late Mary King and was married to Lorraine Womack Boxley. He was a member of Blue Wing Grove Baptist Church and a United States Army Veteran. Mr. Boxley retired from R.O. Harrell after twenty-seven years of driving trucks.
Mr. Boxley is survived by his wife: Lorraine Boxley of the home; (2) daughters: Yvette Faulkner of Richmond, VA, and Jamaika Roberson of Mooresville, NC; (2) sons: Eric Roberson of South Boston, VA and Dwaine Boxley (Traci) of Richmond, VA; (10) grandchildren; (4) great grandchildren; (2) sisters: Charlene Boxley of South Boston, VA, and Oneida Boxley of South Boston, VA; (2) brothers: Leon King (Marla) of Temple, Texas and Jessie King (Lyric) of South Boston, VA; (1) sister-in-law: Dorraine Hogue (Ernest) of South Boston, VA; (3) brothers-in-law: Dennis Womack of Halifax, VA, Kenneth Womack (Antoinette) of Halifax, VA and Charles Womack (Mimi) of Richmond, VA; (1) devoted friend: Annie Gilchrist-Denouni; a cousin who was like a sister: Diana Boxley; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by (1) sister: Betty Boxley Chandler; (1) brother-in-law: Arthur Chandler; and (1) daughter-in-law who he claimed as a daughter: TrixyAnn Zanetta Roberson.
Graveside service for Mr. Charles G. Boxley will be held Tuesday, March 9th at 1 p.m. at Blue Wing Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Public viewing for family and friends will be Monday from noon until 6 p.m. Due to Covid-19 a face mask and social distancing is required.
