Mr. Christopher Lamontico Carter, Sr. of Halifax, VA died Thursday, November 18th at South Boston Health and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 49.

Mr. Carter was born on July 25, 1972 in Halifax County, VA to the late Margaret Ann Majors Carter and Robert Billy Carter.  He was a former employee of Lasco Bathware, Burlington Industries and a truck driver.

Mr. Carter is survived by (1) daughter: Aalexus Carter of Roxboro, NC; (1) son: Christopher Lamontico Carter, Jr. of Roxboro, NC; (1) brother: Robert Carter (Elon) of Hurdle Mills, NC; (1) uncle: Lawrence Majors of Brookneal, VA; his extended family: Ms. Tiffany Richardson; a special friend/daughter: Wanda Toomer (Kimberly); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his mother, Christopher was preceded in death by (2) sisters: Rilla Diane Majors and Annette Majors Coleman; and (8) uncles: Victor Majors, James Majors, Lewis Majors, Willie Majors, Artie Majors, John Majors, Henry Majors and Robert Majors.

Funeral services for Mr. Christopher Lamontico Carter, Sr. will be held Monday, November 29th at 11:00 a.m. with services at Jeffress Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Willis Farrington officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul C.M.E Church Cemetery.

Public viewing will be at Jeffress Funeral Home on Sunday from noon until 6:00 p.m. A face mask and social distancing will be required.
