Mr. Clarence “Bubba” Hensley, Jr. of Alexandria, VA formerly of Halifax County died Wednesday, February 1st at the age of 77.

Mr. Hensley was born in Halifax County on July 2, 1945 to the late Clarence Hensley, Sr. and the late Florence Hankins Hensley. He joined First Baptist Church in News Ferry, VA at an early age.

Mr. Hensley is survived by (6) children: Clarence Hensley, Jr. of Woodbridge, VA, Ted Hensley, Dwayne Hensley, Annette Hensley, all of Alexandria, VA, Brian Hensley (Keisha) of Fort Washington, MD, and Latoya Hensley (DeNard) of Washington, DC; (1) sister: Alma Edmonds of South Boston, VA; (1) sister-in-law: Ernestine B. Lipscomb of Alexandria, VA; (16) grandchildren; (14) great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by (2) brothers: Linzy Lipscomb and Ernest Lipscomb; (3) sisters: Elizabeth Jackson, Sarah Jackson and Mary Battle.

Funeral services for Mr. Clarence “Bubba” Hensley, Jr. will be held Friday, February 17th at 2:00 p.m. with services at Jeffress Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Michael D. Jackson, eulogist. Burial will follow in Williams Temple CME Church Cemetery.

Public viewing will be at Jeffress Funeral Home on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
