Mr. Claude Thomas Wood of South Boston, VA died Friday, November 18th at the age of 75.

Mr. Wood was born in Halifax County, VA on March 12, 1947 to the late Isaac Wood Sr. and Mary Irby Wood and was first married to the late Dorothy Logan Wood and later married Joyce Talley Wood. He was a member of Household of Faith Apostolic Church and was the owner of Wood Contractor and Wood & Son Contractors.

Mr. Wood is survived by his wife: Joyce Wood of the home; (4) children: Claude Wood (Melissa) and Veresia Wood, all of Halifax, VA, Rodney Wood, Sr. of Axton, VA, and Al Wood of South Boston, VA; (4) bonus children: Adrian Fields of Buffalo Junction, VA, Sharonda Fields of Danville, VA, Erica JaDawn of Fayetteville, NC and Eric Fields of Atlanta, GA; (3) brothers-in-law: Floyd Logan, II and Harold Logan, Jr., all of Arlington, TX and John Ragsdale of Halifax, VA;  (2) sisters-in-law: Lillian Wood of South Boston, VA and Rosetta Parker (Lloyd) of Butner, NC; (13) grandchildren; (11) bonus grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his first wife and parents, he was preceded in death by (1) sister: Lonnie Rae Ragsdale and (4) brothers: John Wood, Isaac Wood, Jr., Arthur Lee Wood and Billy Truman Wood.

Funeral services for Mr. Claude Thomas Wood will be Saturday, November 26th at 11 a.m. at Household of Faith Apostolic Church with Elder William J. Howerton, Sr, eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Friday from noon to 6 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
