Obituary

Mrs. Cleomis Madeline Long Villines died Wednesday, July 7th at the age of 80.


Mrs. Villines was born in Halifax County, VA on August 8, 1940 to the late Lucius B. Chandler and Marie Currie Long Robertson Chandler. She was married to Eugene Villines and was a member of Mayo Grove Baptist Church.


Mrs. Villines is survived by her husband: Eugene Villines of the home; her children: Kenneth E. Villines (Patricia) of Durham, NC, Jeannette Villines-Bynum (Durant) of Charlotte, NC, Gwendolyn V. Richardson (Ernest) of South Boston, VA and Danyelle Villines of Alexandria, VA; (2) sisters: Carolyn Jeffries (Kenny) of Bronx, NY and Joanne Chandler of Danville, VA; (3) brothers: Robert Curtis Robertson (Gayle) of Greensboro, NC, Tony Chandler and Lucius B. Chandler, Jr., both of Danville, VA; (7) grandchildren; (7) great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by (2) siblings: Ola Maye Chandler and Carl Robertson.


Funeral service for Mrs. Cleomis Madeline Long Villines will be Sunday, July 11th at 2 p.m. at Mayo Grove Baptist Church  with Rev. Clarence Wilkerson, eulogist.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.


Public viewing for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service.
