Mr. Daniel Lee Palmer died on Wednesday, November 24th at the age of 59.

Mr. Palmer was born in Halifax County, VA on December 25, 1961 to Suffragan Bishop Leonia Barksdale Palmer and the late Mr. John Henry Palmer. He was married to Ruby Kirby Palmer and was a member of New Mount Olive Apostolic Church. Daniel was the owner of A - One Janitorial Services and Sparkle Supplies.

Mr. Palmer is survived by his wife: Ruby Palmer of the home; (1) daughter: Shameka Palmer Traynham (Terrance) of Halifax, VA; (3) sons: Terrence Kirby (Carlesta) of Roxboro, NC, Anthony Cox (Chris) of Wilmington, NC and Tray Palmer of Nathalie, VA; (10) grandchildren: his mother: Suffragan Bishop Leonia Palmer; (5) brothers: Henry Palmer (Dorothy) of South Boston, VA, Nathaniel Palmer (Tina) of Wilmington, DE, Clyde Palmer (Danielle) of Alton, VA, Stacy Palmer and Tracy Palmer, both of Halifax, VA; (2) sisters: Debra Terry (William) of Halifax. VA, and Eva Goines (Arthur) of Waverly, VA; (2) aunts; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by (1) daughter: Victoria Edmonds; (1) grandson: Amarian Mays; and (1) brother: Michael Palmer.

Funeral services for Mr. Daniel Lee Palmer will be Thursday, December 2nd at 1:00 p.m. at New Mount Olive Apostolic Church with District Elder William Terry, eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Wednesday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home. A face mask and social distancing will be required.
