Mrs. Darlena Dismuke Brown died Tuesday, November 9th at the age of 69.

Mrs. Brown was born March 15, 1952 in Halifax County, VA to the late Johnnie Dismuke, Sr. and Carrie Crews Dismuke and was married to the late Charlie Brown. She was a member of Zion Grove Baptist Church.

Mrs. Brown is survived by (1) son: Mark Anthony Hamlett (Michelle) of South Hill, VA; (2) brothers: Wesley C. Dismuke (Bernie) of Alexandria, VA and Johnnie Jr. Dismuke (Hallie) of South Boston, VA; (2) nieces: Nakisha D. Easley (Detrick) and Mashonda D. Richardson (Jermaine); (4) aunts; (2) uncles and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by (1) sister: Patricia Ann Dismuke.

Funeral service for Mrs. Darlena Brown will be Saturday, November 13th at 1 p.m. at Zion Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Saturday one hour prior to the service. A face mask and social distancing will be required.
