Ms. Deborah Ann Wooden of Blairs, VA and formerly of Halifax County, VA died Friday, December 31st at her residence at the age of 63.

Ms. Wooden was born on April 13, 1958 in New York to the late Kathleen Funderburke. She was raised by the late Louis W. Birchett and Flossie Bannerman Birchett. She was married to Gabriel V. Wooden and was a US Army Veteran.

Ms. Wooden is survived by her husband: Gabriel V. Wooden of the home; (2) daughters: Tamantha Monsanto (Alexander) of Prince George, VA and Natisha Jennings (Greg) of Clover, VA; (4) granddaughters: Diamond Robinson of Richmond, VA, Olivia Branch and Sydney Branch, both of Prince George, VA and Jayla Jennings of Clover, VA; (1) grandson: Justis Monsanto of Prince George, VA; (1) sister: Doretha Funderburke of Baltimore, MD; (1) brother: John Alexander Worsham (Flo) of Palm Bay, FL; (1) aunt: Fannie Richardson; (1) uncle: John Roberts ; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Deborah was preceded in death by (3) siblings: Geraldine Funderburke, Connie Funderburke Starnes and Billy Funderburke.

Funeral services for M. Deborah Ann Wooden will be held Wednesday, January 12th at 1:00 p.m. with services at Jeffress Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marvin Bowman officiating. Burial will be in Amelia Veterans Cemetery with military honors.

Public viewing will be at Jeffress Funeral Home on Tuesday from noon until 6:00 p.m.

Following COVID-19 guidelines, a face mask and social distancing will be required at all viewing and services.
