Ms. Delia Veronica Sanford of Silver Spring, MD, and formerly of South Boston, VA died on Wednesday, April 12th at the age of 72.

Ms. Sanford was born in South Boston, VA on February 12, 1951 to the late Mr. Dock Sanford and Mrs. Delia Henderson Sanford. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Ms. Sanford is survived by (1) son: Brian Phillip Sanford; (1) devoted niece: Amy L. Vaughan; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by (6) sisters: Lelia Simms, Elvira Carden, Queen Barnette, Susie Poindexter, Gracie Poindexter and Alice Sanford and (4) brothers: Louis C. Sanford, William P. Sanford, Dock Sanford and Roy L. Sanford.

Graveside services for Ms. Delia Veronica Sanford will be Sunday, April 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Saturday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
