Mr. DeRonte Laquan Ballou of South Boston, VA died Thursday, February 11th at the age of 32.

Mr. Ballou was born July 29, 1988 in Halifax County, VA to Mr. James Ballou and Mrs. Jacqueline Baird Ballou.

Mr. Ballou is survived by his parents: Mr. James and Jacqueline Ballou; his fiancé: Ms. Latethia Hughes; (1) daughter: Desire Ballou of South Boston, VA; (3) brothers: Mr. Deontae Ballou and Mr. Kayshawn Ballou of South Boston, VA and Mr. Tony Ballou of Richmond, VA; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service for Mr. DeRonte Laquan Ballou will be Saturday, February 20th at 1 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home with Rev. Nelson Stamps officiating. Burial will follow in New Arbor Baptist Church Cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Friday, February 19th from noon to 6 p.m. Due to Covid-19 a mask must be worn, and social distancing is required.
