Mr. Ditrius Olivià Medley of Charlotte, North Carolina and formerly of Halifax County died Saturday, August 28th at the age of 45.

Mr. Medley was born in Halifax County, VA on May 22, 1976 to Royal T. Medley and Brenda Edmonds Medley and was married to Kimberly Lewis Medley. He was a member of New Zion Baptist Church and a United States Navy Veteran.

Mr. Medley is survived by his wife: Kimberly Lewis Medley of the home; (2) daughters: Shawn and Kamryn of the home; his parents: Royal and Brenda Medley of Halifax, VA; (4) brothers: Antoine (Cynthia) and Deron (Karen), all of Raleigh, NC, Diante (Shari) of Halifax, VA and Brancho (Tiffany) of South Boston, VA; mother-in-law: Carol Lewis of Nathalie, VA, father-in-law: Irvin Lewis of Nathalie, VA; (1) nephew and a host of nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Graveside service for Ditrius Olivià Medley will be held Friday, September 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Willie N. Yancey, eulogist. Military rites will be rendered by American Legion Post 99 and The United States Navy Honor Guard.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Thursday from noon until 6 p.m. at The Crawford House Chapel in Halifax, VA.
