Minister Dorothy Mae Robertson King died on Monday, May 15th at the age of 80.

Minister King was born in Halifax County, VA on September 11, 1942 to the late Littie Robertson. She was married to the late John Hamlett King and was a member of St. Mark Baptist Church.

Minister King is survived by (2) sons: John H. King, Jr., of Yanceyville, NC, and Curtis King of Virgilina, VA; (3) daughters: Annie King-Thomas (Sterling) of Springfield, VA; Amanda Janet King and Cynthia M. King (David); (12) grandchildren; (1) daughter-in-law: Mary King; (1) sister: Gladys Banks of Virgilina, VA; (1) sister-in-law: Margarie Littlefield, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to her husband and mother, she was preceded in death by (1) son: James Marshall King and (1) sister: Alice Yancey.

Funeral services for Minister Dorothy Mae Robertson King will be held Saturday, May 20th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark Baptist Church with Rev. Brandon Smith, eulogist. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Friday, May 19th from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
