Ms. Dorothy Louise Vass of South Boston, VA died Tuesday, April 25th at the age of 75.

Ms. Vass was born in Halifax County, VA on November 20, 1947 to the late Huebert Vass and Arnita Moore Vass. She was a member of New Arbor Baptist Church and was a retired United States Navy Veteran.

Ms. Vass is survived by (1) brother: Huebert “Buster” Vass (Sandra) of South Boston, VA; (3) sisters: Arlene Edmonds (Watt) and Carolyn Childress, both of Halifax, VA, and Joyce Williams (Robert) of South Boston, VA; (3) aunts: Ardelia Boyd, Ruby Collins, and Frances Vass; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including a devoted mother figure: Annie Hudgins.

Funeral services for Ms. Dorothy Louise Vass will be Saturday, April 29th at 11 a.m. at New Arbor Baptist Church with Rev. Nelson Stamps, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors by the United States Navy Honors Guard and American Legion Post 99.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Friday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
