Mrs. Edith Louise McCoy of Midlothian died on Sunday, September 25th at the age of 79.

Mrs. McCoy was born in Halifax County, VA on April 27, 1943 to the late Eddie Lee and O’Kary Crawley. She was married to Joseph “Sonny” McCoy and was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church.

Mrs. McCoy is survived by her husband, Joseph McCoy of Patterson, NJ; (2) daughters: O’Kary Brandon of Midlothian, VA and Artisha McCoy of North Chesterfield, VA; (1) sister: Juanita Newman of South Boston, VA; (3) grandchildren: Tevisha Brandon, Shyquan Spriggs and Amari Dancy; (1) great-grandson: De’Quantae Mason and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Louise McCoy will be Saturday, October 8th at 2:00 p.m. at Cross Road Baptist Church, South Boston, VA with Rev. Dr. Gerald Brandon, eulogist.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Friday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
