Ms. Elaine Arnetta Gerst of South Boston, VA died on December 11th at the age of 82.

Ms. Gerst was born November 29, 1940 in Halifax County to the late Ballard Gerst and Vivian Crawford Gerst. She retired as a certified Nursing Assistant from Duke University Hospital.

Ms. Gerst is survived by (3) daughters: Angela Gerst of Richmond, VA, Vivian Rockmore (Major) of Fayetteville, NC and Kimberly Higgins of South Boston, VA; (1) son: Quando Gerst (April) of Raleigh, NC; (5) grandchildren; (4) great grandchildren; (1) god daughter; (1) sister: Ola Betts (Grady) of District Heights, MD and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by (2) brothers: Gilbert Gerst, Sr. and Wilbert Gerst.

A memorial service for Ms. Elaine Arnetta Gerst will be Friday, December 16th at 2:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
