Mrs. Emily E. Hamilton Driggins of Baldwin, NY, and formerly of Halifax County, VA died August 5th in Washington, DC at the age of 98.

Mrs. Driggins was born July 16, 1924 in South Boston, VA to the late Mary Suzie and William Carr Hamilton. She was married to the late Alvin J. Driggins and was a member of Ebenezer Christian Methodist Episcopal Church.

Mrs. Driggins is survived by (2) daughters: Claudia Henley (Ruben,Jr.) and Lorene Gilmore (Tyrone); (3) grandchildren; (2) sisters: Anne M. Nelson of Memphis, TN, and Vivian Clark of South Boston, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by (6) brothers: William Hamilton, Moses Hamilton, Robert Hamilton, George Hamilton, Henry Hamilton, Levi Hamilton, and Riley Hamilton, and (1) sister: Geneva Coles.

Graveside services for Mrs. Emily Elizabeth Hamilton Driggins will be Saturday, August 13th at 11:00 a.m. at the Pounds/Hamilton Family Cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service.
