Obituary

Mr. Ernest Felix Coleman of Clover, VA died Sunday, February 28th at the age of 78.


Mr. Coleman was born in Halifax County on December 18, 1942 to the late Oliver R. Coleman and Susie L. Coleman and was married to late Delois Wilborne Coleman. He was a member of Bethel Grove Baptist Church, where he served as a trustee and was employed by Daystrom Furniture, Lasco Industries and Mosley Transportation.


Mr. Coleman is survived by (1) son: Jerome Coleman of Clover, VA; (1) daughter: Tonya Kyle (Thomas) of Richmond, VA, (6) grandchildren: Lameka, Charice, Jay’Quan, Kevon, Kion and Terika (4) great grandchildren: Hailey, Kaelin, Ivyri and Kamilah; (3) sisters: Louise Morton of White Plains, NY, Mamie Grinnan of New Haven, CT and Quitana King (Colonious) of NC; (1) aunt: Lucy Robertson; godson: Mario Sadler and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends including the devoted, Odessa Chandler. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by (4) brothers: Bennie Coleman, Walter Coleman, Oliver Coleman, Jr. and Tony King; and (4) sisters: Josephine Harris, Ida Cannon, Annie Coleman and Pinkey Foster.


Graveside service for Mr. Ernest Felix Coleman will be held Friday, March 5th at 2 p.m. at Bethel Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Marvin Bownan officiating. Due to a Covid 19, a mask and social distancing is required.


Public viewing for family and friends will be Thursday from noon until 6 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
