Mr. Gary John Martin departed this life Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital at the age of 65.

Mr. Martin was born in Halifax, VA on December 31, 1955 to Louise Freeman Martin and the late James E. Martin and was a member of St. Luke Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Halifax, VA. He was a former employee Burlington Industries, Inc. for over twenty years.

Mr. Martin is survived by (2) devoted sons: Jeremiah John Martin and Joshua James Martin, both of South Boston, VA, his beloved mother: Louise F. Martin; (3) siblings: Martha Martin Ballou (Herbert), Willie Martin, all of South Boston, VA, and Clara Martin Pettus (Phillip Randall) of Glen Allen, VA; (1) god daughter: Chasity Ballou; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including devoted friends, Walter Watkins and Gary Terry. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by (1) daughter: Dominique Nicole Martin; and (3) brothers: Lloyd Martin, James Martin, Jr. and Lawrence (Leon) Martin.

Funeral services for Mr. Gary John Martin will be Saturday, December 11th at 11 a.m. at The Crawford House Chapel with Rev. Naomi Bouldin, eulogist. Burial will follow in St. Luke C.M.E. Church Cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Friday from noon until 6 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home. A mask and social distancing is required.
