Mrs. Gladys Louise Holt of South Boston, VA died Thursday, January 12th at the age of 90.

Mrs. Holt was born in Halifax County, VA on November 2, 1932 to the late Beverly Issac Wood and Eliza Jennings Wood Medley and was married to the late William L. Holt. She was a member of Greater Mayfield Apostolic Church.

Mrs. Holt is survived by (2) sons: Major C. Holt of the home and Robert W. Holt of Chester, VA; (2) daughters: Deborah A. Jones (Anthony) of East Greenbush, NY and Felicia D. Joseph (Lorne) of Fredericksburg, VA; (2) sisters: Mamie Deloris Price of Owing Mill, MD and Dorothy Loraine Moorman (William) of Nathalie, VA; (2) sisters-in-law: Joan Wood and Catherine Wood of South Boston, VA and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by (4) sisters: Mattie Wood, Adele Burns, Dolly Jeffress, and Lillian Wood; and (3) brothers: Calvin Wood, Beverly David Wood and Luther Wood.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Louise Holt will be Thursday, January 19th at 2 p.m. at Greater Mayfield Apostolic Church with Suffragan Bishop Bernard Wilkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Wednesday from noon to 6 p.m. at  Jeffress Funeral Home.
