Ms. Gloria Mae “Boo” Coles of Scottsburg, VA died on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at the age of 62.

Ms. Coles was born in Halifax County, VA on August 2, 1958 to the late Riley E. Coles, Sr. and Martha Coles Coles. She was employed with Halifax County Middle School as a math teacher for 42 years and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Ms. Coles is survived by (1) brother: Riley E. Coles, Jr. of Clover, VA; (4) sisters: Mary L. Dabbs of Fayetteville, NC, Cheryl C. Darden and Clara Coles, both of Scottsburg, VA and Lou Coleman (Alfrederick) of South Boston, VA; (1) sister-in-law: Maribel Coles of Kansas City, KS; and a host of nieces, nephews, including the devoted Nakeem Miller, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by (2) brothers: Earl Evans and James C. Coles and (3) sisters: Jean, Gail and Julia Coles.

Funeral services for Ms. Gloria Mae “Boo” Coles will be Saturday, June 19th at 1:00 p.m. at The Crawford House Chapel, Halifax, VA with Rev. Moses N. Dixon eulogist. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Clover, VA.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Thursday and Friday at The Crawford House Chapel from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
