Mr. Gregory “Sugar Hill” Leon Hill of Vernon Hill, VA died on Wednesday, April 19th at the age of 54.

Mr. Hill was born November 7, 1968 in Halifax County. VA to the late Bertha Williams Hill and was married to Sharon Hill. He was a member of Wesley Chapel CME Church and a former employee at Aquatic Bath.

Mr. Hill is survived by his wife: Sharon Hill of Vernon Hill, VA; (9) children: Cicely Hill, Renee Pettus, (Hakeem), Danisha Stephens, (Terrance) ,Jonathan Davis, Brittany Plenty, Jeremy Hill, Briana Plenty, Little Greg Hill, and Ashley Hill (1) bonus son: Allen Smith; (7) grandchildren; (3) bonus grandchildren; (1) brother: Wilson Hill; (3) sisters: Lula Claiborne (James), Florence Roberts and Theresa McClary (Rev. Anthony); (2) aunts; devoted nieces and nephew: Amy Lipscomb, Tracy Hill and Jermaine Hill; mother-in-law: Chlorine Edmunds; father-in-law: CharlieEdmunds; (3) brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by (3) brothers: Robert “Calvin” Hill, William “Bay” Hill, Harold Hill and (1) sister: Diane Hill Fallen.

Funeral services for Mr. Gregory Leon Hill will be Tuesday, April 25th at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Matthew Richardson, III, eulogist. Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel CME Church Cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Monday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress funeral Home.
