Obituary

Mr. Haley Mack Womack of Vernon Hill, VA died Friday, January 14th at the age of 77.


Mr. Womack was born in Halifax County on August 16, 1944 to the late Halley Bell Womack Jennings and Carol G. Coleman and was a member of County Line Missionary Baptist Church.


Mr. Womack is survived by (5) brothers: Robert L. Jennings, Gary Jennings, James Jennings, all of Vernon Hill, VA, Carol Coleman and Alvin Coleman (Veronica), all of Augusta, GA; (6) sisters: Beatrice Petty (Garrett) of Altavista, VA, Gloria Lyons (Freddie) of Augusta, GA, Rosa M. Glass (Jersey) of Danville, VA, Florence A. Glass, Sandra Coleman and Sarah Barley (Lynn), all of Danville, VA; (1) sister-in-law: Loretta Jennings; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by (2) sisters: Pinky Stovall and Ester Baker; and (3) brothers: Billy Jennings, Robert Jennings, and Author Jennings.


Funeral services for Mr. Haley Mack Womack will be Tuesday, January 25th at 1 p.m. Jeffress Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Otis R. Dillard officiating. Burial will follow in County Line Baptist Church Cemetery,


Public viewing for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service. A mask and social distancing will be required at the service.
