Ms. Hazel Ulaton Glass died on Saturday, August 7th in South Boston, VA at the age of 88.

Ms. Glass was born in Pittsylvania County, VA on July 2, 1933 to the late Mr. William Henry Glass and Mrs. Julia Kirby Glass. She was a member of Mountain Grove Baptist Church.

Ms. Glass is survived by (2) children: Gayle Irving (Jerry) of South Boston VA, and Donald Glass (Nancy) of Charlotte, NC; (3) grandchildren: Jemekka Richardson (Carlos), Jamar Irving (Lakayla), and Dramonte Glass (Samantha); (7) great grandchildren; (1) brother: James Williams; (1) sisters: Anna Palmer (Earl); a special sister: Romeda Williams; (2) sisters-in-law; (2) devoted nieces: Doris and Thelma; a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by (1) son: Stanley “Jim”; (6) sisters: Fannie, Ada, Hattie, Mildred, Marie and Vanessa and (5) brothers: William, Lacy, Clarence, Luther and Tommy.

Funeral services for Ms. Hazel Ulaton Glass will be Thursday, August 12th at 1:00 p.m. at The Crawford House, Halifax, VA with Rev. Thomas Divens eulogist. Burial will follow in Mountain Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. A face mask and social distancing will be required.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Wednesday, at Jeffress Funeral Home from noon until 6:00 p.m.
