Mrs. Hester Kirby Mosley of Mountain Road, Halifax, VA died Thursday, February 25th at the age of 95.

Mrs. Mosley was born in Halifax County on November 25, 1925 to the late Garnett Kirby, Sr. and Irene Richardson Kirby. She was married to the late James Author “Gene” Mosley and a faithful member of Union Grove Christian Methodist Church.

Mrs. Mosley is survived by (4) sons: Jessie Mosley (Veresia), Carter Mosley (Esther), Robert Mosley (Frances) and Ray Mosley (Donna); (2) daughters: Elenora Mayo and Nancy Johnson (Barethonie); (1) daughter-in-law: Linda Mosley; (1) sister: Mamie Edmunds; (14) grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including Lucy Hughes and Moses Davis. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by (3) children: Archie, Ella and Corine.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hester Kirby Mosley will be Wednesday, March 3rd at 1:00 p.m. at The Crawford House Chapel, Halifax with Rev. Charles Hudson, eulogist. Burial will follow at Union Grove C.M.E. Church Cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at The Crawford House Chapel. Due to Covid-19 seating will be limited, a mask and social distancing is required.
