Mr. Howard Carlton “Tuffy” Talley, Jr. of South Boston, VA died Monday, September 26th at the age of 64.

Mr. Talley was born in Montgomery County, MD on April 6, 1958 to Delores Roberts Talley and the late Howard Carlton Talley, Sr. He was married to Velma Kirby Talley and was a member of White Oak Grove Baptist Church in Sutherlin, VA.

Mr. Talley is survived by his wife: Velma K. Talley of the home; (1) daughter: Megan Howard of Gaithersburg, MD; his mother: Delores R. Talley of Germantown, MD; (3) sisters: Cheryl Talley of Los Angeles, CA, Carol Bower of Urbana, MD and Phyllis Talley of Germantown, MD; (4) sisters-in-law: (1) brother-in-law; (2) aunts; (2) uncles; (1) great uncle; (1) great aunt; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by (1) brother: Darryl Xavier Talley.

Funeral services for Mr. Howard Carlton “Tuffy” Talley, Jr. will be Saturday, October 1st at 11 a.m. at The Crawford House Chapel in Halifax. Burial will follow at White Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Maurice Ferrell, eulogist.

Public viewing for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service.
