Mr. James Marshall King of Virgilina, VA died Friday, April 9th at the age of 61.

Mr. King was born in Roxboro, NC on November 3, 1959 to Minister Dorothy King and the late John Hamlett King, Sr. He was married to Mary King and was employed by Global Safety Textiles.

Mr. King is survived by his wife: Mary “Cookie” King of the home; (6) children: Marshall King Adams (Anthony) of Roxboro, NC, Leisha King of South Boston, VA, Cindy King of Chesterfield, VA, Caroll Hall (Lavina) of Nathalie, VA, Jermichael Tuck of Halifax, VA and Clifton Davis (Jerrica) of Virgilina, VA; (2) brothers: John King, Jr. of Yanceyville, NC and Curtis King of Virgilina, VA; (3) sisters: Annie Thomas (Sterling) of Soringfield, VA, Janet and Cynthia King, both of Virgilina, VA; (12) grandchildren; (2) aunts; (4) brothers-in-law; (4) sisters-in-law; and a host of other relatives and friends including The Old School Car Club.

Funeral service for Mr. James Marshall King will be Thursday, April 15th at 2 p.m. at TJM Community Center in Cluster Springs, VA. With Rev. Vaxaeadrene Allen, eulogist. Burial will follow at the Kings Family Cemetery in Virgilina, Va.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Wednesday from noon to 6 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home. Following COVID-19 guidelines, a face mask and social distancing will be required.
