Obituary
Mrs. Janice Mae Womack Dunkley of South Boston, VA died on April 16th at the age of 79.
Mrs. Dunkley was born August 26, 1942 in Halifax County, VA to the late Jack Womack and Edna Barksdale Womack. She was married to the late Bryant Lee Dunkley and was a member of County Line Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Dunkley is survived by two nephews whom she raised as sons: Rodney Logan (Faith) of South Boston, VA and Nathaniel Logan (Cecilia) of Nathalie, VA; (7) grandchildren: Xa’Zavier, Niya, I’zayah, Kadence, Brooklyn, Nathaniel, and Natalyah; (2) brothers: David Womack and Wayne Womack (Carletta), all of Washington, DC; a devoted great nephew: Marvin “Debo” Womack; (1) sister-in-law: Catherine Chandler of Halifax, VA; a devoted caretaker: Brandie Brooks; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by (3) sisters: Catherine, Selestine and Linda Gayle; and (7) brothers: Eddie Louis, Malcolm, Wilbert, Wallace, Jack, Quentin Earl and Randy.
Funeral services for Mrs. Janice Mae Womack Dunkley will be held on Saturday, April 23rd at 11:00 a. m. at The Crawford House Chapel with Rev. Dr. Otis Dillard, eulogist. Burial will follow in County Line Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Public viewing for family and friends will be Friday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
