Mrs. Jennie Elam Faulkner of South Boston, VA died on Wednesday, October 27th at her residence at the age of 95.

Mrs. Faulkner was born March 23, 1926 in Charlotte County, VA to the late William Henry Elam and Mary Price Elam and was married to the late Daniel Calvin Faulkner. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.

Mrs. Faulkner is survived by (1) grandson: Branden Ridgeway of Maryland; (1) great grandchild: Blake Ridgeway; (1) sister: Annie Bailey (Joseph) of Halifax, VA; (1) brother: Otis Elam (Shirley) of Fairfax Station, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friend. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by (1) daughter: Charlene Faulkner; (6) sisters: Nannie Hunter, Ada Elam, Mattie Harris, Julia Elam, Ruth Brogdon and Rosa Elam; and (4) brothers: Willie Louis Elam, Charles Elam, Marion Elam and James Elam.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Elam Faulkner will be Friday, November 5th at 11:00 a.m. at The Crawford House Chapel, Halifax, VA with Rev. Dr. Horace B. Parham, eulogist. Burial will follow in Shiloh Baptist church Cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Thursday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home. Following COVID -19 guidelines, a face mask and social distancing will be required. A limit of 50 people will be allowed at the service.
