Mrs. Jeraldine Thorpe Coleman of Alton, VA died Tuesday, March 21st at the age of 80.

Mrs. Coleman was born in Halifax County, VA on March 14, 1943, to the late Steven Thorpe and Mattie Pointer Thorpe. She was married to the late Mason Coleman and was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church, Alton, VA.

Mrs. Coleman is survived by (1) son: Damien M. Coleman (Daneisha) of Maryland; (4) adopted children: Doris Coleman (Joseph), Michelle Coleman, Stevie Coleman and Jennifer Villia; (5) grandchildren; (4) great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Jeraldine was preceded in death by (1) son: Kenneth D. Coleman and (7) siblings: Dan Thorpe, Steven Thorpe, Wallace Thorpe, Joseph Thorpe, John Thorpe, Emma Thorpe and Mary Thorpe.

Public viewing for Mrs. Jeraldine Thorpe Coleman will be at Jeffress Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 29th from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
