Mr. Jerry Wayne “Moochie” Carter, Jr. died on Wednesday, November 24th at the age of 43.

Mr. Carter was born January 29, 1978 in Halifax County, VA to Lillie Ann Carter and the late Jerry Wayne Carter, Sr. He was formerly married to Mea Hutcherson and was a member of Mt. Sinai Masonic Lodge #203. Jerry was employed was with Hudson’s Farm, Razor Logistics LLC, and a substitute bus driver for Halifax County Public Schools.

Mr. Carter is survived by (3) sons: Zacharich, Za’Air, Zarrius and (1) daughter: Za’Mea, all of South Boston, VA; his mother: Lillie Jacob of the home; (2) brothers: Avery Carter of Midlothian, VA and Anthony Carter (Shavonn) of Suffolk, VA; a devoted friend: Wanda Crawley and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Mr. Jerry Wayne “Moochie” Carter, Jr. will be Friday, December 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church Cemetery, Virgilina, VA.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Thursday from noon until 6:00 p.m.at Jeffress Funeral Home. A face mask and social distancing will be required.
