Mr. Jesse Lee Boxley of South Boston, VA died Friday, February 25th at the age of 86.
Mr. Boxley was born in Halifax County, VA on April 30, 1935 to the late Archie Boxley and Myrtle Farmer Boxley and was married to the late Anna L. Boxley and Joyce Boxley. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was a United States Army Veteran.
Mr. Boxley is survived by his children: Sandra Garden (Robert), Carmie Boxley, Jesse L. Boxley, Jr. (Kim), Rosalind Price (Louis), Lamont Boxley. David and Lucinda Boxley, whom he cherished like his own; (1) brother: Arthur Arnold, Jr. (Christine); (1) sister-in-law; (1) son-in-law: Anthony Ellis; (13) grandchildren; (5) greatgrandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including the devoted Gladys Crossley and Andy Lowry. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by (3) children: Donald Boxley, Debra Boxley and Rosalie Ellis; and (3) brothers: Kester Boxley, Alexander Boxley and Ernest Farmer.
Funeral services for Mr. Jesse Lee Boxley will be held Thursday, March 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with military rites by United States Army Honor Guard.
Public viewing for family and friends will be Wednesday from noon until 6:00 p. m. at Jeffress funeral Home, South Boston, VA.
A mask and social distancing is required at the service.
