Mr. Jessie James Mosley of Robin Hood Road, South Boston, VA died Tuesday, March 16th at the age of 72.

Mr. Mosley was born in in Halifax County, VA on December 8, 1948 to the late Mr. James Arthur Mosley and Mrs. Hester Kirby Mosley. He was married to Mrs. Veresia Carrington Mosley and was a member of Union Grove C.M.E. Church. He was a former employee of Georgia Pacific and Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital.

Mr. Mosley is survived by his devoted wife: Mrs. Veresia Mosley of the home; (1) daughter: Ms. Vickie Majors of CT; (3) sons: Mr. Kenneth Mosley (Casondra) of Nathalie, VA, Mr. Jessie K. Mosley (Gladys) of Buffalo Junction, VA and Mr. Patrick Mosley of South Boston, VA; (4) grandchildren; (2) great grandchildren; (2) sisters: Mrs. Elenora Mayo and Mrs. Nancy Johnson (Barthonie); (3) brothers: Carter Mosley (Esther) Mr. Robert Mosley (Frances) and Mr. Ray Mosley (Donna); (1) aunt: Mrs. Mamie Edmunds; (7) sisters-in-law; (4) brothers-in-law; (2) nieces; a host of devoted nephews, including David and Chuck; and a host of other relatives and friends, including Melvin and Marvin. In addition to his parents, Jessie was preceded in death by (1) brother: Mr. Archie Mosley; (2) sisters: Ms. Ella Mosley and Mrs. Corine Hubbard.

Funeral services for Mr. Jessie James Mosley will be held Tuesday, March 23rd at 2:00 p.m. with services at The Crawford House Chapel in Halifax, VA with Rev. Charles H. Hudson officiating. Burial will follow at Union Grove C.M.E Church Cemetery in South Boston, VA. Following COVID -19 guidelines, a face mask and social distancing will be required.

Public viewing will be at Jeffress Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, from 12: 00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
