Mrs. Joan Miller Johnson of Cherry Hill Church Rd, South Boston, VA died Tuesday, October 11th at the age of 81.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Halifax County, VA on March 13, 1941 to Mr. John Henry Miller and Annie Frances Mason Miller and was married to the late Robert Johnson. She was a member of Owens Grove Baptist Church.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by (1) daughter: Sandra Johnson-Leigh of South Boston, VA; (1) son: Rodney Johnson (Patrice) of Jacksonville, NC; (1) brother: Lawrence “Ed” Miller of South Boston, VA; (6) grandchildren; (1) great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by (1) daughter: Joan Annetta Johnson; (6) sisters; and (3) brothers.

Funeral services for Ms. Joan Miller Johnson will be held Sunday, October 16th at 11 a.m. with services at Owens Grove Baptist Church with rev. John Leigh eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be at Jeffress Funeral Home on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
