Mr. John Lewis Jackson of Halifax County, VA died Monday, October 4th at the age of 29.

Mr. Jackson was born on July 17, 1992 in Halifax County, VA to James Reed and Virley Sims Reed. He was employed by ABB and was a member of County Line Baptist Church. Mr. Jackson was a United States Marine Corp Veteran.

Mr. Jackson is survived by his parents: James Reed and Virley Reed, both of Vernon Hill, VA; (1) sister: Monica Womack of Vernon Hill, VA; (1) brother: Joshua of Georgia; his girlfriend: T’Conya Morris of Nathalie, VA and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. John Lewis Jackson will be held Wednesday, October 13th at 1:00 p.m. with services at The Crawford House Chapel in Halifax, VA with Evangelist Martha Reed officiating. Burial will follow in The Reed Family Cemetery in Vernon Hill, VA.

Public viewing will be on Tuesday at Jeffress Funeral Home from noon until 6:00 p.m. Following COVID-19 guidelines, a face mask and social distancing will be required. A limit of 50 people will be allowed at the service.
