Jordan Ashley Ross went to meet Jesus on Monday, September 20, 2021 at the age of 17 years young.

He was born on December 8, 2003 in Halifax County Regional Hospital, and was the son of Ulisa Ross Caddle and Larry Caddle of South Boston, Virginia and Marshall Harris of Greensboro, NC. Jordan was the precious grandson of Walter Ross, which he resided with in his last months of his life, and the late Nancy Ross. He was the loving brother to Jayden, Akeelah, and Kanya Caddle, of South Boston, Virginia, and Tanarra Harris, Brandyn and Dyron Summers of Greensboro, North Carolina, uncles: Walter Ross, Jr. (Donyale) of Danville, VA and Nathan Caddle of Suffolk, VA, devoted cousins: Ashley Ross and Christina Johnson of Danville. He also leaves to cherish loving memories, a host of nieces, nephews, classmates, teammates, family and friends.

Jordan was a Christian, who enjoyed serving at First Baptist Church, Ferry St. in the youth choir and youth department at an early age. He was employed at Wal-Mart, where he never met a stranger.

Although school and work were important, his greatest love was basketball. Jordan started playing in Greensboro, then continued at the South Boston recreation department and went on to become a Halifax County Lion and Blue Comet. He had hopes to continue at the college level. He dreamed to be in the NBA.

The celebration of life will be on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 3 p.m. at the Halifax County High School, at 1 High School Circle, South Boston, Virginia. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Due to COVID restrictions, the service will be held on the side lawn. Limited seating will be provided but all are welcome. Please follow CDC guidelines and restrictions. Family, friends, and fellow Blue Comets will be wearing Comet colors and casual attire.

At the request of the family there will be no public viewing. The family is receiving friends at the Glendale residence.
