Ms. Katherine Lee Coleman of Vernon Hill, VA died Friday, December 31st at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital at the age of 89.

Ms. Coleman was born on May 8, 1932 in Halifax County, VA to the late John Thomas Coleman, Sr. and Sarah Lacks Coleman.

Ms. Coleman is survived by her brother: Paul Coleman (Sandra) of Vernon Hill, VA; her cat: Peanut; her dog: Midnight; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, neighbors on Wilson Memorial Trail and friends. In addition to her parents, Katherine was preceded in death by (11) siblings: Martha, Mozelle, Eva, Mazie, Pauline, Lenora, Pearl, Arthur, Estelle, John and James. 

Funeral services for Ms. Katherine Lee Coleman will be held Friday, January 7th at 11:00 a.m. with services at Jeffress Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Herbert Pannell officiating. Burial will follow in Halifax Memorial Gardens.

Public viewing will be one hour prior to the service.

Following COVID-19 guidelines, a face mask and social distancing will be required at all viewing and services.
